They even provided excellent Gluten free rolls for my breakfast each morning when I told them I was Celiac. The breakfast spread was excellent. The room was clean with a balcony and wonderful view of the lake. Across the street there was a nice walkway along the lake in both directions joining the towns. All the hotel staff were superb and make you feel like you're on holiday at all times. The superior double room was great with amazing views of the lake and mountains. The pool was nice, if slightly on the small side when busy. However the hotel had compensated for this with decent sunbathing areas on the roof and in the garden. "We had a wonderful time in Garda that was facilitated by the lovely staff who were all friendly and helpful people. In fact they could not have done more for us! We arrived by public transport. The buses served us well on our a trip. For those using the bus, get off at hotel Caribe which is next to hotel merano. The rooms were very clean, the lake view was perfect, the breakfasts were fresh and delicious with plenty of choice. The local village is Pai which is a 10minute walk along the lake...
