"This was a great place. Of note, there is not much in town, and “town” is very small. There’s a grocery store that closes early, a gas station, and maybe 2-3 bars/restaurants, no other shops. But it was a good stopping place between the Thingvellir national park and the snaelfellsnes peninsula. The restaurant seemed like it could be good, it was cute; admittedly we didn’t have time to try it. The pool downstairs is about a foot deep, just for cooling down, and they have a hot tub, sauna and steam room which were all free and it was a very nice feature. The front desk is not well staffed, but they were very friendly and informative when they were there. The room was very nice, modern, and clean. Overall a great option"

"Amazing location, great breakfast. We had one restaurant meal which was good. Used Kitchen for other meals. Used hot tubs and room was very warm and comfy. Would definitely recommend. Nearest supermarket is probably about 20 minutes in Borgarnes."

"The property is beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. And, i have to say that Clara at the front desk was the absolute best in terms of trying to help us with anything we needed from hiking recommendations to restaurants to anything else we needed. There are fabulous hikes right from the property and easy access to the nearby glacier and other adventures. Lastly, the food was really good! And, the chef was willing to be flexible with the menu items to meet our dietary requirements. Great job! Oh, and don't miss the deserts!! they were really, really great!"

"We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. The house is amazing and stayed warm even when we didn't have power. It's beautiful, perfectly cozy, and well equipped for all that you could need. The town of Borganes was nearby and we loved being away from the big crowds. I loved Iceland so much, everyone was friendly and the environment is second to none. I can't wait to come back, and I would absolutely choose this host again!"
