"Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep....

"The confirmation email provided incorrect check in instructions and nobody would answer the phone at the number provided. It was pretty stressful. The cabin was nice and tidy. It was missing some basic things e.g. a pillow case and a sheet. Their dog, Snotra, is awesome."

"The property was clean and maintained. The kitchen had most items needed for cooking, although a microwave would have been a good addition. The sauna was great, but the hot tub wasn't filled when we arrived and never was usable for the evening. Staff were very helpful and friendly. "

It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"
