"This was a *wonderful* home to stay in for our time in Iceland. It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"

"Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep....

"The property was clean and maintained. The kitchen had most items needed for cooking, although a microwave would have been a good addition. The sauna was great, but the hot tub wasn't filled when we arrived and never was usable for the evening. Staff were very helpful and friendly. "

"Cute, small, basic cabin. Bedrooms are pretty tight and not much space for storage. Bathroom is very small and shower seemed to have some drainage challenges. Hot tub was plenty hot. The local dog, Snorta, is super friendly and fun to have come greet you. Local town was grocery, gas and a few places to eat. It worked well for 4 of us - more than 4 would be pretty tight. "

"We are parents and 2 adult children. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well thought out with all necessary needs. It is very quiet and lovely for those who are not city folks. We enjoyed many road trips from this spot on our short stay. We would certainly recommend it for exploring the west country, which is fascinating. Many thanks to our hosts for this little piece of heaven."

"This was a perfect house for our holiday in Iceland. We were there with an extended family group of three families - parents and teenage and young adult children. The location is about 15 minutes from Selfoss, 1 hour from Rekyavik and 1.5 hours from Keflavik airport. It allowed easy access to all the attractions of the southern region. "Great location and quiet setting, close to nature. Good condition of the cabins, although we could not figure out the TV signals - not our priority since we wanted to experience the outdoors. Everything else works well and you feel comfortable. On the dow side, the mosquitoes wouldn't allow us to sleep well. Suggest replacing windows blinds with a darker color to provide shade at night during Summer."
