"Check in was a little chaotic. Since I had booked through Expedia they couldn’t find that I had already paid in full at first. It took them awhile to find it. The manager kept saying that it was payment was declined loudly which was quite embarrassing. It all worked out eventually though. The rest of the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom door stuck and was difficult and loud to close. Overall, it was a great visit and we will stay here again. "

"It's a very old hotel but economically priced and the front desk employee, maybe owner, was very friendly and quick. The bathroom definitely needs updating or a better clean. We chose not to shower due to looking like mold. It may have been a stain as the rest of the room was clean. "

"Ok, this is a mixed review for all the couples out there. We accidentally found this place. I am a history nerd and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I made 8 different videos, walked the halls over and over, sat in the study and read the newspaper clippings of the history of it, visited the dining room, chatted with people in the cafe kitchen, and sat in front of the fire in the morning. This was a literal dream vacation stay for me, at a phenomenal price. My husband, he hated it....
