"Our room, a junior suite was quite large and surgically clean. Bathroom was very modern, large and with great water pressure. Staff was great. My only caution would be to comment that this is not an air-conditioned hotel in the usual sense. There is a system which can be set to lower the temperature in the room slightly, but we found it ineffective. If you're not comfortable sleeping in a warm room, this hotel might best be considered only in the cooler months. "

"We had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff was beyond helpful and nice. Rooms were super clean. We got the basic room, but it was larger than we expected and just fine for three nights. Great location in the heart of the city. Our only complaint was the temperature of the room at night. We had to open the window because it was so hot. The gym was also very hot and had limited equipment. It had three cardio machines and a set of hand weights (only Up to 10 kg). "

"The only negative was that other guest’s dog lefy 2 piles of geces in the corridet. Someone tried to remove it but left 2 significant feces smears on the carpet. We immediately notified front desk receptionist. Then next morning we told the housekeeper who was aware. The smears remained for our entire visit until our last morning when we submitted complaints to reception director again, it was finally cleaned at the time of our departure. "Nice hotel in Basel and reasonably priced- apart from the breakfast - wow that’s expensive for tea and toast.😳. Service is great but then it usually is in Switzerland. No kettle in the room but that was soon corrected. Get a garden room if you can. Those at the front can be noisy."

"Lovely welcome from staff. We were given a discount card for museums and galleries and free public transport. We had a room upgrade to a junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom with bath and shower. Buses and trams were close by, as was the old town and the river. We had a delicious meal with traditional ‘rosti’ on first day, and explored the area around Spalentor for dining opportunities on Saturday. "
