"The Host Ben is very responsive and kind. I wanted to experience living among the Ticos and we loved it. This place is unique and cozy for the 4 of us girls. There are some minor upgrades needed but we are so easygoing that it was not a bother. We survived a huge thunderstorm and no power for just a couple hours. The property has 2 cats. Also each bedroom has air conditioning and we enjoyed Netflix in the evening. This area is definitely a surf town and several restaurants walking distance....

"This place was great. Though Avellanas Beach was a short walk from the property, it felt secluded and remote. I could hear howler monkeys in the trees, which was cool. The house was gated and felt safe and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would gladly visit again."

"Overall, we thought the house was very nice, there were 15 people in total, including the kids, the bedrooms were spaced out so we all still had some privacy which was great! The house was very close to walk to the beach and the resort, which was great to have access to. The only complaint was the dishwasher didnt work so well. And one of the bedrooms A/C didnt seem to keep the bedroom cool like the others, but overall great place for multiple families to stay. Housekeeping staff was also very...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Rio. We were a large multi-family group from ages 2 to 78 and It was perfect. The separate air conditioned sleeping areas were perfect, but we especially loved gathering by the pool or in th shared kitchen, living, dining space. The location was nice for us. Definitely more rustic, but fun!"
