"Breakfast buffet was very good. Appreciated having a small sofa in our room. One small issue was the sliding door to bathroom, when slid open, went over the electric switch. Bumped and needed to push out on the door to get it open. Really appreciated that we arrived the night before hurricane Helene hit the area, with a booked two night stay, and there was zero hassle cancelling the 2nd night so we could leave the area. Much appreciated! "

"We stayed at the Haywood Park Hotel two days before Hurricane Helene's destructive path caused catastrophic damage to lovely Asheville. Our stay was wonderful. Our room (more like an apartment!) was incredible. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was equipped with all the amenities one could desire, and the living area was spacious and nicely furnished. The whimsical touches reflecting the hotel's previous life as a department store made one appreciate the building's history. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We especially loved the check in champagne!! Wishing the good people of Asheville good health, safety and a full recovery. "

"We stayed at this hotel the week of the hurricane. The staff went above and beyond with what they had to work with when the lights and water went out. Under a very stressful situation they were extremely accommodating. The room was clean and neat and would stay here again. Jamie in the bar was fantastic. "

"This review is based on the visit during the tragic events of Hurricane Helene. I can not compliment the staff enough on their professionalism and caring nature. GM Rufus and his talented and dedicated team did a spectacular job keeping us accommodated and comfortable all with the fact that there was no electricity and water. Amazing and caring staff from top to bottom. Great people. They consistently checked on us and asked if we needed anything and went to the major extreme to do as much as humanly possible. I was shocked to see everyone not only show up for work at all, but to be dedicated to their job all while they were suffering personally. The building is immaculate, the breakfast was larger with more variety than most, and that’s including during the crisis. If I could give 10 stars I would. Next visit to Asheville, I know where I’m staying. Bless you all and you are in our prayers."
