"Georgian grand hotel. Hotel has done well to preserve the grand features. This is one for those who like character to a building. Staff were excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of nooks and crannies to sit in with loads of old style leather oxblood sofas and chairs throughout- so comfortable after dinner drinking. Food was lovely. Only requests would be for fresh juices at breakfast rather than concentrate/ squash and a scrambled egg option. Very nice stay - will return. "

"I always enjoy staying here- it's peaceful, quiet and the fittings in the room exude quality. Breakfast is particularly good with a great choice and quality options. The lounge bar area varies depending on the number of delegates at the conference centre- there is rarely much of an atmosphere though."

"Wedding hotel - easy to get transport to venue - great sized rooms for getting ready in. Bar stayed open late for us on wedding night for a friends and family. "

"Historic building right in the centre of Nottingham. Quirky rooms in keeping with its age. There are some bits that are needing updating, carpet ripped, marks on walls, but it was clean, tidy and great value for money for its location and what we needed. The parking is a 2 minute walk to Lace Street car park. "

"The place was gorgeous! The staff were helpful. We only stayed for 1 night but was a special night celebrating partners birthday, they put a balloon in the room for us and also gave a happy birthday dessert to my missus! Made it just that little more special. The beds were comfy with good choice of pillows! View was nice also from room. Pool facilities were nice! Only downside was if wanted to sit on a bed you couldnt as people at towels on them to 'use' them even though everyone was in the pool or away. Would stay here again! Lovely place! Thank you "

"Nice clean rooms but a little date very friendly staff and maids for the room where amazing and couldn’t do enough for us to make our special for an early valentines night Food was nice with a decent selection of bar food unfortunately the steak house wasn’t open Sunday evening The spa and pool area was great but again a little dated all facilities were working and the showers were decent "
