"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

"We were pleasantly surprised with Gulliver's Kingdom since we have never heard of it. For a really great price we had a lovely 2 nights in the princess-themed room with amazing views of Matlock Bath. There were activities in the evening for the kids. They absolutely loved it "

Fantastic Cottage

"Fantastic cottage for our short break. Communication with owner and directions to the property were perfect. The cottage was spotless on arrival and the pool was even better than the photos. The surrounding area was beautiful and great for walking. All in all one of the best short breaks we’ve ever had."

WOW! What an amazing place..

"WOW! We had one night in the junior suite. I booked this with my Tesco Club card vouchers. The first time I’ve used them for a hotel stay & what a place to stay for our first time!!! It was the perfect half way stop home after a busy long Halloween day in Alton Towers. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after hours of walking and waiting for rides. I cannot rate this place high enough. Everything from the decor to the room service, it is all so well thought & of high standard. Immaculate in cleanliness. The meal from the pub delivered to your door was the icing on the cake for us as we were far too exhausted to start getting ready to go out again. The quality of food was utterly beautiful & the steak was to a standard I’ve not had in some 5* restaurants. Credit to the chef it was exceptional!! Staff were so friendly & welcoming. The outside area around the hot tub was very private & beautiful. The bed was soooooo comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4inch we often find staying away we rarely find a bed that’s both comfortable & big enough…this was both! Such a wonderful stay, already recommended to family & friends. We will certainly be back! Thank you again "

Idyllic Cottage

"The cottage is a wonderful haven in spectacular surroundings. The owners are extremely helpful and happy to communicate promptly with answers to any queries. The cottage radiates calm and positivity, Exceptionally clean with everything you could ever wish for. It is bigger than the pictures may suggest and we made the most of the brief spells of good weather by spending time in the picturesque garden, We enjoyed quality family time in a wonderful setting. After a shaky start to 2024 with emergency surgery (for myself) and a triple bypass for my husband - this was the best thing that could have happened for us - we are all looking forward to return visits to this outstanding property!"

Mostly Nice Stay

"It was okay just a few constructive comments, 1 no toilet paper in Brothers toilet, 2 Coffee, Sugar, Tea tins need refilling 3 , Window Sills could have done with a clean apart from these items all was ok and the Host was very pleasant"

"During our recent stay, my family and I were delighted to experience the charm of a serviced accommodation that felt like a tranquil oasis. The stunning house, adorned with sleek modern design and exquisite furnishings, went above and beyond to ensure our utmost comfort. Every meticulous detail, from the captivating decor to the meticulously stocked kitchen, contributed to an overwhelming sense of warmth and relaxation. The location is perfect, offering both tranquillity and convenience. Jackie, the host, was lovely and exceptionally attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for an ideal stay. We can't recommend this place enough! It's truly a gem."

Gorgeous property & rooms, great restaurant!

"Wildhive Callow Hall was a fantastic place to stay with our family on our last night in the UK, and it was one of our favorite hotels of 5 on a 2 week stay in the UK! Situated in the Peak District, the location and property was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the main building, but walked around to the tree houses, which would be so fun and nice with a group for a longer stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when my father-in-law requested an extra bed sheet, and when we asked to get into their restaurant at the last minute, they moved some things around to accommodate us. The food was a definite highlight - dinner was delicious and breakfast was great the next morning - lots of options presented in a beautiful room and very good food! The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the property is so beautiful. No complaints at all for this lovely hotel. Thank you!"

Fantastic little bolt hole!

"Lovely stay at The Den. Wonderfully engaging host, so proud of his creations and rightly so! We stayed for 3 nights exploring the area. Visited Bakewell, Matlock & Buxton easily from here. We even had time to cycle some of the Tissington trail to the village & estate. We also ate at The Callow Hall, a 15 min drive away. No doubt we’ll be back at The Den. Thank you Karl! 😁"
