"We stayed at the Essex for a quick getaway right after our wedding and it was everything we needed and hoped for. Quiet, relaxing, and convenient with all of the on site amenities. I got a massage at the spa and it truly was life saving for my post-wedding sore bod. Dining at the Tavern was a highlight with excellent service and top notch food! We would love to come back sometime and stay longer to enjoy all the area has to offer! "

"Very friendly staff and a lovely property. The room was very clean and comfortable. Only complaints were that we got almost no wifi reception in our room (2nd floor, near the ice machine) and we seemed to be right above the dumpsters and service road, so it was incredibly noisy in the morning. However, would still recommend this property and we were bummed we weren't staying longer."

"LOVED this place! The owner was warm and welcoming AND made a great breakfast. We loved visiting with others. One couple was from California, other from England, we are from Texas.
