"Hotel sited in a place with bus and tram stops a short walk from Hotel. First room we were allocated had a fault with lighting and insecure door locking system also double bed pushed right up against the wall ok for younger generation, manager quickly moved ourselves to another room which was what we should have had in the first place, bit of mish mash furniture but comfortable bed and clean room. Really good breakfast . parts of the hotel now a bit tired but we will be back"

"This is a lovely hotel. It is set in a stunning location, with views from the conservatory across the lake. The hotel is beautiful inside, with lovely dining areas serving excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, a lovely spa and swimming pool, and nicely decorated bedrooms. The hotel is also dog-friendly. The Windermere cruises depart from outside the hotel, and it is also a short walk across the car park to the Lakeside Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway."
