"The hotel was, generally, clean and tidy with plenty of parking. The restaurant was actually better than expected. However the staff were even better. When I informed them that I had lost my phone somewhere in the hotel, they went above and beyond all my expectations in helping me to try and find it. "Stayed here for a couple of days over the Easter break. I booked for the views over Windermere which were stunning but there is so much more. Really liked this hotel, I love the blend of modern and period pieces, a really nice feel to the place. Lots of lovely areas in the hotel to enjoy and relax, the brasserie, conservatory and gardens. Breakfast was also delicious in the restaurant, very pleasant. All the staff without exception were polite, smiley and professional and a credit to the hotel....

"Hotel has obviously come a long way, rooms and reception looks great, hallways and bar need a recarpet which is coming and scaffolding on front will come down. Will be a great hotel as soon as it's finished, great staff, really helpful. Car park is small but there's free parking opposite overnight and you can move your car in the morning it's fine. Would recommend "

Cosy room with comfy bed. The only minor drawback was that there was no bedside lights which was slightly awkward for reading "

Our breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a bed and breakfast. "The Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham. We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere.
