"We have used Penny Hedge for a nunber of years now and always have an enjoyable stay."

"This hotel was built in 1844 and the spa is on the lowest floor, but it’s comfortable, the pool looks lovely and the jacuzzi is huge. We also liked the steam room, 2 saunas and ice cave with a swirl of cool mist as you walk in. It’s Victorian in feel, lots of tiles but great for what we wanted. Our double standard room with a sea view was spacious and the view spot on. Staff friendly and efficient."

"We had booked a twin room, however on the day of arrival the owner has painted the room, so we ended up both been put in double rooms. The rooms we stayed in were very clean, offered tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite. "

"Lovely hotel. Had some lovely touches in the rooms with a homely vibe. Right in the centre of the beautiful village of Helmsley. Lovely picturesque place with some lovely shops. Very friendly and inviting village. Would definitely visit village and hotel again. Expedia apparently messed up booking and we were given a double room instead of a twin. The hotel were not able to accommodate what we had booked, but was grateful of the single room offered, but did put a damper on the break. Just be...
