"Hotel was booked for convience and had used before. Booking in was straight forward. Room was closer to reception this time which was great. The only issue was that one large towel looked dirty like it had make up on with mascara. We did try to ring reception but the phone in the room didn’t work and when rang the hotel from my mobile it cut of twice after a long while no body answering . "We were really impressed with this hotel. The room and general amenities were to a good standard. The staff were excellent. We had a minor issue with our room which was fixed immediately, and the staff were clearly very anxious to sort this without delay - very impressive. Breakfast buffet was good. Overall well worth staying here if you need a bed in the area "

" We were on a tight schedule on arriving after a 7 hour drive , arriving at 18.45 . Literally had to drop our bags and leave. Sadly a new member of staff on reception did not have a clue . Even though he was trying his best . We had 2,rooms and took over 20 minutes to book us in which had been pre paid ??? I asked for him to get help and he said everyone was busy and he had only just started. Very disappointed with check in "

"We know the Hotel well as both originate from Skipton and remember it remember it being built. It’s showing its age; food and service was great. Disappointing bar if you like beer and not lager. All draught beers were off. Bed while massive I found hard and uncomfortable but that isn’t a reason not to stay. We were visiting family and it did the job.
