"Breakfast tables too close together- ( tables for two) configuration meant it was difficult even for slim people to sit down without bumping into the adjacent persons chair. Also my telephoned dinner reservation had not been noted at reception on checking in but it didn’t in this instance cause any problem . Very nice food. Nice cosy hotel and good facilities so will return for a break."

"Lovely place but restaurant was terrible half the menu not available i ordered fish and chips, the fish was massively overcooked the batter was really dark brown hard to cut into the peas were tasteless the only thing edible was the chips."

"From start to finish it was like home from home. It was a cold frosty weekend but the whole building was warm and cosy. Staff friendly Room beautiful - clean - everything you need. They even have a Cat called Teddy which made my stay. 5/10min walk into the center perfect for a york visit "
