"Visited for our 32nd wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. Breakfast was really nice with a large choice of continental and cooked items. Our morning waitress, Millie, was extremely helpful with all of our requests especially with regard to help with the afternoon tea menu. "

"Lovely hotel and staff. Location is great - in a safe residential area and walkable into the town. Our courtyard room is a bit noisy from other guests’ bathrooms, backs onto a private resident’s garden. No window views unless you stand and can see into their garden(!). Overall, a very nice hotel, comfortable."

"Excellent hotel room number 229. Very modern. Gourmet restaurant - lovely food and could use our taste card. Superb location to walk the walls and for The Barbican. Small pool but only 2 of us so very relaxing. Check out noon but could park until end of the day."

"What can i say first time staying here had best girls night with my daughter, even booked for my partner This hotel got be first one ive not complained about the room it was 10/10 for the cleaners to,reception lady was so lovely , breakfast was nice, just some of the older staff could of been little bit more better with customers/staff...
