"Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Communication before arrival was great, as was check in when we were helped with our bags down the steps and shown around. Anita (our host) was on holiday...

"This lovely house met all the needs of a group of 5. Great location within easy reach of the station and the city walls. Little supermarket within a short walk. Great mattreses and plenty of comforts within the house. Nice courtyard outdoor area, including a small covered area. The only downside was a little bit of traffic noise at the front of the house because the windows were open (it was over a hot weekend). Otherwise a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this accommodation for anyone...

"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

"The house was well laid out, immaculately clean and comfortable. The location was fab for easy access to the city on foot (we parked the car outside the house and didn't use it again until the drive home!), and the parking permit made it all very easy. A beautiful house for a really restful break - we would use this again!"

"We had a lovely stay for four days here. The apartment had enough space for us to spread out, and having an outdoor space and a washer/dryer was welcome. It got a bit hot one day where the bedrooms were; I would recommend a fan in each room and sun blocking curtains for warmer summer weather. The street was mostly quiet except for one night that got a bit rowdy (nothing too bad). We particularly appreciated the amenities, the books on York/Yorkshire, and the Agatha Christies! "The Tv speakers were awful and muffled plus a plug in bath broken, went to tell them and they immediately replaced the tv, and mended plug. The tv was not tuned in but did not effect our stay. Lots of noise between 5.00 am and morning but we accept that is city centre living.Bed very soft rolled into centre and marks on sheets. But generally very nice"
