My friend and I walked 30 minutes from the hotel to the Ferry Building, and 30 mins from Auckland Museum to the hotel. We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor room. The check in procedure was extremely painful though. The receptionist was not able to communicate very well and left us baffled at times as to what she was saying.
