"Lovely old character style hotel. Friendly staff in reception let my colleague and I have a few holes of golf before sunset with no charge. Well priced drinks and food. The lady serving in the bar was grumpy but that was the only negative. Would highly recommend "

"Great location and easy parking (discounted rate provided at hotel - simply park up and pay at Reception). Our room was spacious and comfortable with double aspect windows looking out towards the river. Could do with a little TLC (extractor fan not working in the bathroom and toilet flush not great!) but nothing that affected our stay. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"If you wish to visit Canterbury, the Lodge provides an incredibly convenient and quite comfortable place to stay. For those outside the main Lodge, the stairs may prove problematic for some, particularly those with extensive luggage or mobility issues. Part Stately Home part boutique hotel this Grade Ii listed building is truly great. Reminiscent of world-famous Hazlitts in Soho, the rooms are characterful and appear to be unique - its a wonderful stay. I can’t imagine there’s anywhere comes close for miles around.
