"Room was fine. Food was average. We opted for a 2 course buffet. The salmon was ok. Vegetables were overcooked and mushy. Very unpleasant. Breakfast was average."

"Love the overall experience at this hotel it’s the second time we have stayed. The downside of this room (102 Jennie Churchill ) was when the bathroom warmed up so did nasty smells from drains similar to cabbage cooking so not good! Had to buy Zoflora to put down sink and shower drain, Also not a lot of hanging space and a fridge for drinks would have been wonderful but not the end of the world! Will go back but not to the same room😁"

"Lovely hotel less than 10 minutes walk from the heart of York. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Room was a good size with a huge bed. Room was really well presented with bath robes,complementary snacks at good quality coffee and hot chocolate. The only fault with this hotel was the noise in the rooms from the common areas and squeaky floors but it was liveable. Would stay again in a heart beat."

"This hotel is beautiful and the staff really know how to treat their guests. We had a terrible start as our car hit a pothole around a mile away from the hotel bursting 2 tyres. The hotel offered to have food waiting in our room as we would unfortunately be arriving later in the evening. We didn't get to experience the hotel at all like we wanted to because of this incident. But from the hotels perspective, they gave us a lift back to the car late in the evening and generally was lovely with...
