"Great central location for exploring York. Lovely view over the river Ouse. Room was a good size, massive comfy bed, fresh towels every day and cleaned. All staff we saw were friendly. Thought the breakfast was a bit pricey at £17.95 per person so we just walked to cafes which were all great food. The car park is very small and tight to manoeuvre in, quite stressful actually. We ended up having to park in the closest NCP car park, which the hotel does give you a discount voucher to reduce...

"I booked this hotel a while ago and I then read the reviews and there were some which made me think about cancelling. However, I am glad I didn't. Nice, hotel and great customer service. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room available to use from 6am to 11pm which was great. The breakfast was good and being vegetarians the chef cooked vegan sausages for us. Location not too far from York city centre, we walked it there and caught a taxi back to the hotel and it cost £8.40 which was resonable."

"Satff friendly helpful very welcoming, improvements going on within the hotel as a little dated for a hilton but clean and tidy never the less. Breakfast buffet was spot on had a selection of everything delicious. Room are ok again clean and tidy ideal beds not so comfortable mind. Location is bang on city centre about 10 min walk from the train station. There is a car park first come first serve basis but a car park directly across if it was full which is good to know.
