"It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The lodge was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Walking along the lake is beautiful. There's lots of nice activities too so especially for children. We took a speed boat in the lake which was exciting. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, the minigolf, playing ping pong and the arcade. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. We'll definitely be going again :)"

"We’ve just returned from celebrating my birthday weekend and we've had the best time ever. We truly did feel like a King and Queen for the weekend! All the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with the best views of Lake Windermere 😍 Thank you for an amazing stay Love from The Parr’s xx Just want to add we’ve been coming to Bowness for around 15 years to celebrate my birthday weekend but this was the first time staying at Belsfield as it’s also our 20th year of being Married (August). We have always admired it from afar and have stayed in surrounding accommodations but this weekend has blown all the accommodations out of the water. We have had the best weekend ever. "Lovely welcome from the staff who were very informative about everything from parking to meals to how to contact them. Parking is very limited however public parking is available nearby. Room was comfortable and warm. Had all the things needed (tea, coffee, basic toiletries, towels etc). Having a safe in the room was a nice touch. The only little things are there is no mirror next to the table to do hair / make up as it’s across the room and the toilet door constantly hits the bathroom door. Shower good quality, nice bedding. Slight issue on the last night with other guests but the staff were really apologetic the next morning when this was brought to their attention (hoping to receive an email about it though once it is mentioned to management). Overall very nice and in a good location. "

Room was spacious with excellent bathroom and shower Used to go to local old laundry theatre which was. very close walking distance. Nice local restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Very nice hotel. If returning to the area we would use again. "
