"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms. "

"Nice hotel - good food, doggy super-friendly (even meals and ice-cream) - car park huge but not in peak times - only negative was the walls a little thin but nothing major. Distance to carnforth, lancaster and morecambe fine. Lovely people. "

Loved listening to the stories & the history of the building he was brilliant! We paid £132 a night (Tuesday( for our room, there was a few minor problems, especially the volume of the music that we could hear while in our room played in the bar & we did also wonder if it was actually a Superior room,...

"A decent place to stay! The room was fine, if a little cold, but the additional heater warmed it up well. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and I had a lovely pint in the bar. Coniston is well worth a visit and The Sun is definitely worth staying at."
