"So let me start by saying I loved the property. It was absolutely beautiful and stunning to wake up every morning to such a beautiful place and view. The staff is general were great. Few things that basically didn’t allow me to give it an excellent rating. 1) really far from anywhere. Had I known this I would have rented a car earlier and would have not stayed as long in one spot. 2) We were bumped off two days earlier due to a large group coming. "This is a lovely hotel just outside La Fortuna. A rushing river runs behind the property and the grounds are filled with interesting birds. The room was brand new and the breakfast was good. You pretty much need a car to get to town for dinner or anything else, but the tour companies will come to get you for the various adventures. The only restaurant nearby was Mary's BBQ and we had a bad meal and rude customer service there. Read the reviews before you have anything more than a drink there."
