But, the setting of the rooms rewards you well. The access to the hotel and room is not easy. It involves some unpaved roads and climbing a few steps. "

"Wonderful stay at the Tamarindo Bay Hotel a few weeks ago. It's like staying at a mini-resort. Very clean and efficient. Close enough to restaurant row and the beach but, far enough to have perfect peace and quiet in the evening. Our host, Marie, was there at check in and made us feel at home during our three nights here. Will definitely come back for our next trip to Tamarindo."

"Overall a great little spot. The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. It's a 5 minute walk from all the action which is a good thing, generally being in a quieter area. I would have rated this a 5 except we did not learn about the construction next door until a few days before our visit, and construction started promptly at 6 AM each morning. The air conditioning in our unit (#1) was just passable at 24C and somewhat noisy when the condenser cut out (or maybe kicked in?). There...

"Good for family , accessible area to beach and restaurants . 2 bedroom unit is unique could use additional mirror as it was hard for a family of four to get ready at the same time . Drying items / towels is difficult not enough hooks provided and unit does not get sun "

"The name is fitting...charming! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Ramona. The hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood away from the main strip, which is what we wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful. The communal kitchen had everything we needed, including a made-to-order breakfast every morning. Our room had an outside bathtub and shower on a private patio. It was very quaint and romantic. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Thank you!"
