"In the immediate vicinity there were very few options for lunch though a few more places were open for dinner. It was very close to the subway and also about a 10-15 minute walk to other neighborhoods full of restaurants and bars. It was actually nice to be away from the crowds, but might be a bit out of the way for other travellers who don't like to walk as much. "

"Quiet place to stay"

"This place was cool, and had an emphasis on Americanism, with President roooms including a JFK room. It was really nice to experience! We noticed lot of school kids stayed in the hotel, probably for the American historical context, or that it was just right by one of the main train stops. Either way, the people in this area are all so nice and friendly, way more thab the big city of Tokyo. Genuinely enjoyed our stay around this place, and there's a ton of food options nearby, including a giant...

"Located in the middle of the city and close to the train station. They have limited parking spaces. So had to use coin parking. "

"The place was spotless, quiet, and in a very central location for all temples and other spots that you need to visit. Almost every attraction you’d want to see in Kyoto is well within a 1h radius of the hotel. Staff were very kind and helpful "

"A great spot next to the Imperial Gardens! Reception counter located just across from Kyoto Station where you check-in and can store luggage instead of at the accomodations - a unique way of checking-in. Staff available overnight only at the accomodation itself. Rooms were as advertised and clean. Overall, a simple and comfortable stay. Good value and would stay again!"

"It was easy to find from the station, breakfast was good, the public bath was good ( you do need to strip down to your birthday suite), the room was good except the bed it was one step up from sleeping on the hard ground."
