The property is outdated (the smell reminded me of my grandma's house- definitely not a bad smell, but an "old" smell) except for the ground floor which seems to have been recently renovated. Walkable distance to the city center, though some may say it's slightly far away (10 minutes). For the price I paid, it was good value. "

There was a rubber bath non-slip mat in the wardrobe in the bedroom (strange place to be) which was breaking up and I let the hotel know on check out that I had placed it on top of the bin as needed to be thrown away and replaced with a new one. "Check-in was fine, but the parking situation is horrid! The hotel is a beautiful old seafront hotel which has been nicely updated. The dinner in the dining room was delicious as was the breakfast buffet. My room was well appointed and had all the luxuries that one would want. They did not have a conversion plug for an American iPhone, but the lady in reception was kind enough to charge my phone for me whilst I ate. "Another great stay. Room overlooks the seafront and pier, clean and nicely decorated. Hospitality tray including tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom includes bath, rain shower and toiletries. Staff very pleasant thoughout hotel. Breakfast very good with choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and various hot options, which are cooked fresh. Note there is no car parking on site, but several parking options nearby. Can recommend."
