"For the price we paid we didn't expect much to be honest. And at around £77 per night for a room with sea views we got an ok shower (warm water, poor water pressure) a large bed (mattress has seen a few years) and sparse furniture which suited us fine. It was very windy which meant we had quite the draft from the single pane windows however there wasn't a lot of traffic coming through. Service was ok, not friendly, not unfriendly. Breakfast simple, coffee overpriced. "

"Great food options both for evening meal & breakfast. The bed was very comfortable (room 24) however the bathroom extractor fan took an eternity to go off & it was noisy! The fan itself needed a good hoover. Shower also disappointing very little pressure, difficult to get a good temperature. Decor tired. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The tea/coffee room facilities were excellent. The flask of milk & water very much appreciated. Thank you. "

"We love these hotels. Quirky, charming and unique. On this occasion, having never stayed here before, we had a couple of little easily remedied issues. We got shown to our room perfectly, but no instructions on how we leave the property should we need to take dog out for a pee break during night or early morning. Couldn’t go out to car or move until someone arrived, ans anccidently set alarm off. Our room was 27 degrees and despite turning down thermostat and opening windows, didn’t cool until...

"Stayed in the Heather room, beautiful old features, very comfortable. Spa bath switch jammed 'on' so had to be controlled by pull cord by door and plug leaked, couldn't relax in it as jets set to full power and on all the time. Food, bar and service were a great, very warm and friendly. Would recommend the venue.. But not that room."
