"Central location suitable for downtown shopping and within walking distance to the West Lake, breakfast is more geared towards oriental taste. The bathroom in the standard room is a bit tight if you’re if larger size. The staff are keen and helpful. Great green tea leaves in room."

"The friendly Chinese-speaking staff tried very hard to make our stay at this hotel a good experience. Unfortunately they only had 1 English speaking employee on staff at the front desk during the day, and 1 at night, so every time we tried to communicate, that one person had to be called in to talk to us. Otherwise, their dinner buffet was exceptional, the room air conditioning worked well (important for the hot mid June days/nights), the location was good, and we received a free room upgrade...

"Perfect location to West Lake. Fancy lobby but the room is a bit dated. Smoking smell in a non-smoking room. "

"We booked this hotel as it was advertised to be in Shanghai. The map showed it to be in a nice location. Only when we were on our way from the airport we found out it was in Hangzhou. So we were stuck in a taxi in Shanghai at 00:30 am with two sleeping children and nowhere to go. So far, expedia has offered us NO compensation of any kind."

"It’s a suite rather than a room. You get a huge space, more than enough for a family! The hotel is a historical site and preserved well. The staff are well trained, very nice and professional. The property itself is really nice and worth the price. One bad thing is if your neighbours upstairs are not mindful of others and party at night, the sound can be a bit disturbing."

"Lousy check in. Need to fight for a simple shower which I booked as special requests. Hotel looks nice for the lobby. Rooms are ok but older. Towels are fringed out. Everything is around 15 to 20 years old heavy used but well maintained. As money is the religion in China, is it same in this hotel. Hotel is prepaid and they want to have additional deposit of double hotel price. I really don't like this behaviour. Will not go again. There are better and nicer hotels in Hangzhou."

"It's about 5 - 10 min walk from Subway station. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, where you can take airport bus to the airport, need to buy ticket first at a tour agency nearby hotel (ask fo location at the hotel). Wifi is ok. "
