"It is a truly 5 star hotel - great room, amenities, and service. I tried all onsen facilities - the private one on our balcony, and two public ones with stunning views. Both kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast were great. Cold drinks, coffee and ice cream were all free in the lobby. The only small issue was to the transportation. There are a couple of buses if you can do that, but getting a taxi out of the hotel was not easy. Luckily we had Go taxi app. It is 15 min walk from the open air...

"This hotel was my favorite out of the 4 we stayed in during our Japan trip. The beds were comfortable, bathroom had all we needed and the balcony gave us the most amazing view in the morning, definitely get a room facing the water and mountain. We could see the Pirate ship as well from our room. I loved that the booking came with buffet meals- fantastic options. I loved our stay in Hakone and this hotel. "The staff made everything easy for us. It was extremely helpful to have a washer/dryer and microwave. Very convenient and near a shopping area, not too far from the train station. I would stay there again if I’m in the area. "
