"Good location for the purpose of our trip. The room was large, the shower was good and the bed was the comfiest thing I've ever slept on!! Our room felt like it could use updating to make it a bit brighter and fresher. Nice bar and restaurant attached. We would definitely stay again."

"Located right on the beach. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment. The standard of the completed rooms is very good and highly recommended. The addition of a fridge in the rooms would be handy."

"Wonderful food. Polite staff and comfortable room. Only slight problem was that the fire alarm went off twice during the night but no one told the guests what was happenening. This is a real problem. Asked the next morning and an engineer had been called but 3 sleeplless hours. However other than that great! Thank you!"

"Beautiful room in a great little friendly pub. There was a small leak in their kitchen overnight so they couldn't do breakfasts but had already organised and paid for us to have breakfast in a little cafe/deli just along the high street. Amazing service"

"The Apollo is an old quaint building with a few charming quirks. It is very convenient to the train station, the pier/beach and the funky downtown area. We walked everywhere and felt safe but there was an abundance of litter on the sidewalks from both people and seagulls that tear open and scatter garbage which does not seem to get cleaned up. The proprietor was very nice and the building was secure. While the bed was comfortable, bed linens need to be upgraded. "
