"We loved our room, good size, fab high ceiling, sea view. Really quiet even though it is on the sea front. Parking easy and reasonable price in underground car park ( look it up before you go to find the entrance road). Fridge in room was a bonus. Bath was huge and shower perfectly effective with really hot water. Armine was lovely. Would definitely stay again. "

"Did not get into the property. The neighbour came out and said landlady was an alcoholic and had turned away other guests that day. Apparently she is awake all night drinking and playing loud music. Property looked dirty and unkept. DO NOT BOOK!!!! "

The location is fantastic for Tenterden and other nearby spots (eg Chapel Down) and the cottage itself is superbly kitted out to a very high standard. Add to that the excellent hosts and oh so thoughtful little touches, and I’ve no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it to anyone looking for a fantastic self catering away break."

"We booked Mary's wonderful house for a weekend away in December for a catch up with old friends (12 of us in total). We had an amazing time and really recommend the house. It has lots of character from being an old pub called The Star and the rooms were really comfy with almost all of them having their own ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious for cooking even for 12 people and we loved the fireplace and piano in the main living room. We didn't get out much due to storms...
