"The Royal is within easy walking distance of the train statio, the Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Museum, Stadium, several arcades, and a wide variety of good restaurants. Our room was very nice with wood floors. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was well organized with a really lovely spacious bath/shower. We appreciated the free early baggage storage prior to check-in. Finally, the staff were very polite and helpful. "

"Executive room was large, clean, very comfortable with a great view of the Bristol Channel. Lovely bathroom. Very relaxing. Comfortable, king sized bed but pillows were very hard. Didn't like being woken at 7am each morning of our stay with the clatter and bangs of the breakfast room above! Lovely outdoor seating areas with fantastic water views. "

"The services closed at 8pm! I think that is a little too early when you are stopping and need food. We ended up getting Uber Eats from a local Chinese which was lovely. The hotel is a little dated but did what it said in the tin.. would stay there again. Lauren, the lady on the desk ant the hotel was absolutely lovely.. very helpful and informative. "The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It was right by the wharf, and had a beautiful view of the water. It’s close to the city centre, about a 10 minute walk, so that was convenient."

"Great breakfast and bar service, There was a flashing light on fire alarm in the ceiling above the bed, this could do with changing. The moving wrap around advert in the bar and restaurant isn’t nice at all and ruins the environment. The staff were lovely and it wasn’t clear that the parking would be an additional cost. "

"This was a great place to stay for two nights when visiting Cardiff to watch the rugby with family. We had two apartments; they were brilliantly located, extremely functional and clean - which is exactly what we needed them to be. Luxury apartments they are not - and the price was very high because it was an international match weekend. But I’d definitely recommend as a base to stay and hang out. "
