"My friend and I stayed with you 2 years ago. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean. We had a twin room with lovely bedding and very comfortable beds, although the neds did squeak when getting on and off of them. It would be useful to have another hook in the shower room to hang the wet towels. One is fine for one towel, but not two. Breakfast was good, especially the sourdough bread."

"Being from out of the country, I was delighted to be welcomed so warmly and accommodated with an extra night after my last minute request. The food was excellent and it was lovely hearing the Minster chime throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again if I get to visit York again."

"Walm welcome from the owners. My small single room was at the very top and my case was carried up for me and down at the end of the stay. A kitchen was available to make drinks and warm up food. That was good. The room was very small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The property was well positioned with easy access to York centre. I enjoyed my stay. "
