"Chisun Grand is just 3 mins’ walk from Takayama station. This is my second time staying at the same exact hotel in Nagoya as I liked it for its location. Hotel room is clean, big by Japanese standards ( I had a twin share). The bath room is also larger than average hotel bath room size. Hotel is near Miyagawa morning market ( 5 mins’ walk) along the river. Enjoy the cool breeze against rushing waters in the river, where you can find carps, fishes, ducks and birds . "The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area."

"A beautiful hotel! We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in the middle of the historic area of Takayama. It’s walking distance to everything you’d like to see. The hotel is clean, staff were super kind. They have free drinks each evening in the lounge and offer both western or Japanese breakfast for a fee. "The hotel is comfortable, clean and close the station. 10 minute walk to the town. Our room was spacious and had a safe, microwave, hob, fridge-freezer and a washing machine. There was a separate toilet, and wet room. There is a 7 11 across the road. The hotel has a public onsen that good. Good value for money"

"Hotel that's literally facing the train station, despite that it's not noisy. There aren't a great deal of trains that go through the area. Some shops relatively close by, though a good 10 mins walk to where the action is. Hotel itself is nice and clean and friendly staff. Dropped off my baggage as I arrived a good few hours before checkin. No hesitation staying here again."
