"The hotel is only a block away from Takayama station and is an easy walk to the touristy Old Town. The staff were great and the room was nice. The Onsen was not bad. "

"The onsen facilities were quite impressive with many pools including outdoor mixed gender ones (until 9 or 10pm), where you put on their provided clothing. Outdoor onsen in cold dark night creates a beautiful atmosphere. The dinner and then breakfast were excellent and unforgettable. We had our private dining room and there were lots of elaborate dishes. The wait staff were the epitome of Japanese gentleness. "
