"Stayed one night before going back to Canada. Great shower, air conditioner worked very well, very clean room and the beds were great. Reception dude was very helpful in many ways. There is great free parking out front but lots of people park like douches. "

"The area around the hotel is amazing, the room was clean, and staff were helpful. We had so much fun doing the activities like hiking, horseback riding, and hot springs. The included breakfast is awesome and the outdoor restaurant where you can watch the sun set was great! The only downside was the pool. It clearly needed more filtration and maybe a check on chemical levels. There was algae growing in it and lots of bird poop in it. I know it is outdoors, but so are other pools we’ve been too,...

"Close to airport. Despite that it was quiet. Good price. They can provide transport to airport on request. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is eating close by, but quite limited. Good inexpensive choice if you have an early morning flight."

"Blue River Resort & Hot Springs is a gem of a location. The roads in and out are a nightmare to drive in but the location itself is an idyllic oasis. We decided to stay here as part of our "Pure Vida exploration trip" because we knew we wanted to go see the Cathedral Waterfall (El Santuario). "I liked the dining facilities which offered a complimentary breakfast and a wide range of dinner options. The pool was nice. The receptionist/manager helped to make our stay memorable with his fluent English and enthusiasm for Costa Rican culture and his musical talents. The location is on the slopes of a volcano park where tours are available. It is about an hour’s drive from Liberia so we had an easy drive to catch our flight home. "

"Beautiful beach front property. Very nice location on the quiet end of the beach. Walking distance from Playa del Coco shops and restaurants. No breakfast at the hotel however 5 min walk to very nice breakfast cafe restaurants. Property has very nice restaurant for lunch and dinner. Wonderful staff and service! "
