"Umami resort was beautiful and relaxing. The staff there was super responsive and attentive to all needs. I would say it is perfect for solo travelers or couples. The only suggestion I have is more pool lounger chairs for the guest. "

"Wonderful room, immaculately clean, super comfortable bed. Free coffee at the front desk area, a welcome Sangria, a great value. What's not to like? My new favorite hotel in Puerto Viejo."

"The place is 200 m from Playa Chiquita entrance (cars can only go about 100 m, then it's end road and you have to walk anyway). They have a nice restaurant inside the property with really good food and you can avoid the crowds in town. Excellent place to rest and the staff is super kind."

"You will not be able to wear shoes which would not be a problem normally but at this hotel you will have to walk down 1in x4in planks that are loose and popping up at times several feet above the ground. Not having AC and hot water weren’t a big deal in October but I did not expect low safety standards. I felt like I was going to fall through the planks several times."
