"Beautiful jungle atmosphere. Wildlife animals observed on the property. Great drinks at the bar. Breakfast buffet and dinner was delicious. Walking distance to the beach and other restaurants. The family cabin had a wonderful patio and hammocks. I would’ve preferred adults only. It was almost impossible to be in the swimming area near the wet bar with so many kids present. Most of the vendors on the beach only accepted colones. I would suggest you get money exchanged from the airport or the national bank in Costa Rica ATM does colones. Tips are accepted for room service and meals. Laundry was outstanding! We received our laundry same day service. "

"Eric & Sharon were lovely. They have built an incredible property. The villas are absolutely perfect. We truly enjoyed learning about all of the plants and animals on their property. They have two beautiful dogs, 6 cats, and a resident sloth named Pearl. Breakfast is delicious. The "secret path" to the beach is delightful. Several of Eric's recommendations were spot on! Make sure to go to Lidia's restaurant. (Yellow curry shrimp was primo!) And definitely ask about an outing with Alex. You will learn all about his farm, see many animals, and kayak to the beach. It was our favorite outing! Thank you Eric and Sharon. We will definitely return!"

"Magical place amongst the trees and only a very short wander to the beach. Monkeys swinging during the daytime and frogs only a quick search away at night. It’s a small hotel with most rooms looking out at the pool area. Relatively thin walls but we didn’t mind waking up early on this trip. 2 or 3 nights would perfect if visiting without a car as taxis need to come from Puerto Viejo for trips further afield. Almost faultless however our only criticism would be that dietary requirements actively requested by the hotel were not reflected at the restaurant/fore breakfast. We loved the shrimp tacos and the plantain tacos. They don’t shout about the beach at this property but they do allow you to visit their sister property Awa so that you can enjoy a day out at Punta Uva."
