"My husband and I stayed at villa #2 for 5 nights. It was just as described on the listing (large and spacious) in a very quite area just minutes from Cahuita. Mornings were spent hiking trails in nearby parks. Afternoons were spent by the pool watching whatever was hanging around in the trees surrounding lovely outdoor area: monkeys, macaws, toucans, etc.We will stay here again the next time we're in the area.Ellie "

"This lodge was the perfect setup for our family of 4 visiting the Cahuita area for a couple days. Immersed in nature and 5 minutes drive from the village, ideal for those looking for peace and quiet (except for the howler monkeys calls!) as long as you have a rental car. We were welcomed by the very friendly owners who provided a delicious breakfast on demand (great deal given quantity and quality). My favorite part of the house was the bathroom/shower, which has its own inside garden! There is a small kitchen with cooking utensils, and a living room with a sofa, TV, a few board games, and a large dining table. All beds are upstairs in the loft, 2 bunk beds 1 double bed, more comfortable than the ones we've had in other lodges. The lodge is about 1 km from the main road, and is accessed via a gravel road that didn't get muddy despite intense rain, no need for 4x4. It looks like the property has 2 houses for rental, we got the one on the right. The other one looked just as nice from the outside. We were able to park our car behind the gates and felt very safe. There is a separate area for breakfast outside, and the owners have their house on the side. The property has lush vegetation and gorgeous flowers. The owners are very sweet, easy to reach when needed, and respectful of their guests privacy. Wifi worked well. No AC but one fan on each level. Highly recommended, excellent value in the area!"

"First and formeost, much love to Gaia, our host. She is one of those quiet professionals who gets things done and doesn't make a fuss. Yet everything falls into place with little overt effort. The facility is perfect, charming, rustic, and definitely built with the environment in mind. If you are in Cahuita for adventures, this spot will welcome you after a long day out with an inviting hammock on its generous patio. Plus our unit had a small, functional kitchen with a four burner propane stovetop and full-size (for Costa Rica) fridge. Beds were comfy, a/c cool, and the windows allowed for a breeze during the day. Shower big enough for a big dude, we enjoyed being indoors as much as out. If you pick this place, you'll likely want to come back. We sure will. Thanks to all the staff and their commitment to preserving their beautiful environment. "

"Very nice accommodation literally in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are surrounded by pure nature. Great place to disconnect from the outside world: no TV, no A/C (not needed as it was cool enough end of September), lots of birds and monkeys outside. Only thing I would improve is the water pressure in the shower. We were lucky enough that there were no other guests in the property, so it was very quiet all the time, except for the howling monkeys early in the morning, but come on, you’re in their habitat 🐒"

"We had an incredible stay at this Villa Mango! The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the sun and surf whenever we wanted. The property itself was spacious, with plenty of room for our group to relax and spread out. One of the highlights was the combination of indoor and outdoor kitchens. Whether we were cooking outside by the private pool or preparing a meal indoors, the setup was perfect. We also loved the cozy indoor living space for watching movies or playing games in the evenings. The property was surrounded by wildlife, and we often spotted monkeys and capybaras right on site! There are also natural parks nearby, making it a great spot for nature lovers. The covered porch was ideal for relaxing and visiting, rain or shine. Our host went above and beyond, ordering us fresh seafood and providing fantastic recommendations for restaurants and local tours. Their helpfulness really made the stay even more special. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to come back! "

"Visiting our daughter who is in college in San Jose. Came down to Cahuita for 3 lovely nights at Lilian Nature. Beautiful setting, tons of wildlife, nice pool. We spent a day in the Cahuita National Park, a day at Punta Uva and plenty of time lounging around the well equipped home."

"Oasi was our favourite place that we stayed in Costa Rica. The apartments and grounds are mantained to a very high standard and we felt very safe. Oasi is within easy walking distance of the National Park and restaurants. The owners were warm, friendly and helpful. I was taken unwell and they were able to accomodate us staying an additional night- and recommend which medication to get. The hot tub and the shower in the room we stayed in were amazing! Would highly recommend!"
