"The first impressions of the room were good but there was some peeling wallpaper on the ceiling above the bed which detracted from the overall finish. The room was very warm with no individual heating control despite the radiator being turned off so we didn’t sleep as well as expected. Otherwise convenient city based franchised pub/hotel."

"The Spa Hotel sits just above the gorgeous coastline with an easy path down to the seaside. It is a slightly steep hill up to the town center, but that's easily walkable. The restaurant was excellent and everyone so kind and friendly. I saw the most spectacular sunrise and sunset at the property. You can't help but fall in love with the Hotel and it's natural beauty in the seaside surroundings."

"Looked for a cheap overnight hotel in Middlesbrough, and found Longlands. Rooms were simple, shared toilets and showers as advertised, but clean and tidy. There was a problem with the boiler, affecting the central heating, but the receptionist provided a portable electric heater when it couldn't be sorted. Showers were electric so worked, and were nicely fitted out. I added the breakfast, which was really good value. "

"Loved the hotel, restaurant and bar in-house was nice. It is definitely walking distance to everything. The castle is about 500 feet away and the Scarborough Seafront area is only a few blocks away. Best of all, it is only about half a mile from North Riding Brew Pub and their great beers."

"Convenient location close to the A64 and a number of Yorkshire attractions. My room was in an annexe building at the top of the car park. All was bright, clean and warm. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Ample tea and coffee in the room. Strong free WiFi. Room on the small side and bathroom tiny though adequate. "Lovely charming hotel in a great location. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast and overall service was fantastic as it always is at the Inn Collection Group of hotels ( this was our 8th stay in one of their hotels). The only negative at this hotel was the windows in our bedroom and bathroom were very draughty (it’s an old building) and more noticeable as it was very windy outside. The windows could do with some secondary glazing/insulation."

"Reasonably priced, clean, staff very polite, helpful and welcoming. Bed was comfy and the room was clean and warm. Breakfast was all fresh and the food was great. Ideally placed with a short walk down to the harbour or up to the the nearest bus stop to travel further afield if so desired. Would recommend to anyone visiting Staithes and looking to explore further afield."
