"The position of the hotel is convenient for town and only 10 minutes walk to The Hoe. I was there 3 night and for two out of three of the breakfasts I had to find a member of staff to order breakfast. They didn't come to take the order. The hotel is noisy with traffic and street noise though due to it's position. The breakfast was good and provided gluten free options, however the tea seemed poor and travelling alone only got a small pot which quickly went cool before the hot breakfast...

"This lovely old hotel is perennially reliable and perfect for walks to the Barbican, the city centre and the Ferry terminal. No need to book a taxi and they are willing to hold one's luggage for the return. The receptionists are wonderful and the bar/lounge very cosy. "
