"Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. The restaurant offered good Swiss food and a nice breakfast buffet. Staff were very nice. It’s right up the hill from the train station, so very convenient. They will pick you up if you don’t want to walk up the hill with your luggage upon arrival. We loved this place and highly recommend it."

"Excellent location in historic inner city! Walkable everywhere in town to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing from the hotel! Wonderful staff at checking office located right at the hotel Krone right around the corner! Clean room and facility! Only very few utility vehicles as that part of the city is closed to traffic!
