"Great spot to get away from it all. Wonderful hiking trails, we hired e-bikes from reception to explore the area. The hot-pot (jacuzzi) was top, you need to book a slot with reception which means you have it just for your group which was great. The restaurant and bar were great quality and all staff very friendly. Can't wait to go back!"

"I think this may be my first hotel review but this one was well worth taking the time to write about. The service here is outstanding and everyone there goes above and beyond. They are friendly and knowledgeable and really made a difference for our stay. The hotel design is also very elegant and the pool has a very nice view as well. The service all around from the waitresses to front desk and especially to the concierge made this feel better than the four seasons or ritz. "

On our trip to Switzerland, our hostess in Interlaken told us to take our Mum to Hotel Giessbach for a meal. She told us that it is situated above Lake Brienz and can be reached via train. We had never been to any such place before so we thought it would be great idea.

By the time it was lunch time, Mum was tired and wasnt very keen to travel further. So we had some awesome Chinese food at a nearby restaurant and dropped her back to our B&B.
.
In the evening, my brother and I went on a cruise on Lake Brienz. And while on the cruise, we crossed this super gorgeous Giessbach waterfall which tumbles into Lake Brienz. Above the falls was the hotel where we had planned to go earlier.

That color of water and those trees surely had me.

"I spent Christmas at Hotel Brienz. Breakfast was extensive and very organised and had a nice Christmassy feel as music was playing in the breakfast room. My bedroom was a superior double room on the corner of the hotel. One window looked out on the mountains and the balcony looked out on Lake Brienz. So beautiful. I was also very happy that the TV in my room had English channels on like ITV and BBC so I could watch the Gavin and Stacey finale 😁"

"My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this quiet, peaceful, historic hotel. We particularly liked the beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. Although it was too chilly for us to use it, their patio dining right next to the lake was gorgeous. We were served a delicious breakfast each morning with fresh, fried eggs and smoked salmon. Our room was very clean and spacious and our bed comfortable. It could use some updating of the carpet and decor. We were lucky enough to arrive at the hotel by boat, which dropped us right at the front door of the hotel. It is a bit of a hike uphill to get to the bus stop, but it is a pretty hike! We would recommend staying at this hotel. "

Lovely property.

"We had a fantastic stay at this property in Brienz. Our 2 teens had the top floor to themselves, which they loved!! We all enjoyed the pool esp the youngest of our group who used it every day. Lovely quiet area with superb views, and easy access to Interlaken for daily outings. Highly recommend. "

"The property has great views of the lake and is convenient to get to if you have a car. If not you have to take the boat to get to the hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was the limited options of food available as there are no restaurants nearby besides the hotel restaurant."
