All the staff were friendly and professional. They made it feel like home. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was super convenient. I loved their daily breakfast buffet which was included in hotel rate. Overall, this was a great hotel and I would love to come back when I visit Lucerne.

Don’t bother looking to stay anywhere else than the Hotel Central when visiting Luzern; it’s conveniently situated a short walk from both the station and Old Town. The staff were all delightful and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The generous and delicious breakfasts were a great start to the day and it was great to be able to enjoy complimentary (good) coffee at any time. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and very clean - all in all our visit to Luzern was made all the better for staying at Hotel Central.

We did a self-planned Christmas Markets tour in 2024. Because we were travelling by train, our first criteria in finding a hotel was to be close to the train station so we would not need to drag our luggage a great distance. This location was perfect. Th hotel was great, staff was extremely attentive, breakfast was very good. Highly recommended.

The hotel was a disappointment. We couldn’t stay for anymore than 1 night. We had paid for 3 nights, and when I asked if they would waive the fee for the remaining 2 night, we were told NO. Despite this, we left the hotel. The room sizes are extremely small, so much so you can’t open your suitcase fully. The walls are paper and can hear the people in the room next door talking and those on the floors above walking, jumping etc. The bed linen was clean, however the pillows were dusty as was the floor. The soles of white hotel slippers (not supplied) went black after about 5 minutes. The bathroom towels were thin, coarse and small. There were no amenities other than soap and toilet tissue. I would recommend you stay at the Monopol if you are after a central hotel with large rooms and great service.

We really enjoyed our two night stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is so convenient to everything to see in the old town. We could walk to everything and could pay to park the car in a space at the front of the hotel during our stay. This was a much cheaper option to the nearby parking stations. They also had a service to have clothes washed and returned same day at a nearby laundry which was very helpful for us. Would definitely stay again if I visit Lucerne again

Had a great stay. Property was pretty near the main station. Really convenient. There are lots of food options and supermarkets nearby too. Left my scarf in the room when i checked out. Managed to get it back when i went back to collect my luggages.

This was great. Booed it at the train station 10 min before walking over and they were expecting me. Checkin was smooth and staff friendly. They offer feee bus passes but I didn’t need it. Loved the location, close to old town. Loved the free coffee and water 24/7 and the dining room open to use. We sat and ate dinner that we’d gotten for Take away. My only complaints are having to lock myself in and out of my room with a key every time. And the hairdryer was awful- having to hold a button down to use it; it was impossible. I’m a hairstylist and can use Most any hairdryer- but this was virtually unusable. I’d recommend changing it.
