"Noisy heating system and water taps , not a quiet building but a fair price. Comfortable beds and clean kitchen utensils and crockery , very good location for our needs. Limited parking spaces just next door at Holiday Inn "

"Comfortable stay at a space with affordable food (though they missed off my jalapenos...), and I appreciated that the radiator was off when I arrived, allowing me to set the temperature myself (far too many places have it all the way up by default, leaving the room stuffy). Decent shower and in-room complimentaries, and little noise pollution from the bar below allowed for a good night's rest."

"This is above a pub 2 minutes from the station. Eaglescliffe is a nice place to stay though there isn't much around the station to look at. The hotel is a bit basic but clean and good value for money."

"My son and I had a great stay. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Spacious room with a small balcony. Lovely shower. Walking distance to the town centre. "

"Property itself inside was clean and tidy - this property is obviously a work in progress and would love and visit again in say 6 months to see how far things have progressed.. rooms themselves are immaculate and definitely underpriced.. do need to look at the entry system for the property as front was not working and the back was erratic.. overall though was very impressed at the facilites on offer and location is superb.."

"We picked a very busy day to need a bed in Durham as it was the university open weekend. La Spada was reasonably priced & good enough, despite quite a few adverse reviews. The hotel is not set up to take guests after 10pm, a fact not highlighted when we booked at 11.30pm & then tried to get in. Fortunately we were admitted. There was no breakfast service."

"I found hotel nice clean no friles tv did not work no coffee or tea or milk but did have a ketle and two cups and no on sweat forcilites just a sink in room therr eas a barth and toilet just down hall which was Clean which was no problime to me I had a grate sleep in bed the next time I go to redcar i will be stopping at the same hotel just loved it thanks for having me there."
