"Slight delay to get in when it was late (22:50): several buzz a few mins apart and nobody was answering the phone. Luckily someone came in. Otherwise really good stay: friendly staff, bedroom spacious, bed comfortable and great facilities."

"Not sure they react to what's booked with Expedia etc but after hiccup. It was alright and breakfast is free. Free tea and Internet. Beds were good enough and showers were good. Next to by byker station also, the area ain't up market but the hostel is cheap and serves a purpose,"

"Such a lovely place, in the centre of fields with horses grazing peacefully around making the setting perfect! 10 mins on foot to the beach (to go sea glass hunting) and 10 mins in the car to Morrisons. The beach is pebble and it has a steep incline so if (like me) you suffer with bad knees, you need to take care but it can be done. I have a tween and a teen and they loved the setting enough to put their phones down and enjoy family time šŸ˜Š Durham Castle & Cathedral are also well worth the...
