There are lots of homeless. Overall, this hotel is a good value. There is a lot of food options. Again, the neighborhood will look scary but its actually very safe."

"We stayed at Teva for 3 nights near the end of our trip and overall enjoyed the stay. The Good - the rooms are clean but very basic. Ours was one with a ceiling fan and aircon (AC essential in this location i think). The pool area was nice, and there were various places to sit in the grounds. You could also use the kitchen area if needed. We saw monkeys and iguanas in the grounds. There were trails in the ground too but it was too wet for us to explore these. "Great place, very friendly staff. Clean and well located near plenty of restaurants and bars. Nice small pool. You feel like you are in the jungle with wildlife, it’s great. Place feels safe. A bit more variety with included breakfast would be nice. If you get room 5 or 5L be ready to walk up and down a few stairs. "
