"Modern, updated unit with nice furniture, beds and linens. Easy to find and access. Central Hilo location. Our otherwise excellent stay was disturbed by rude guests upstairs talking loudly, smoking outside our window and stomping around when we were trying to sleep. I would recommend this unit if you are looking for a nice, two bedroom place to stay in Hilo."

"The hosts were fantastic and always responded timely to all questions. They asked numerous times if we needed anything. A couple minor issues with a couple lights and their maintenance person came to fix within a day.We prepare most of our meals while at a VRBO. The kitchen was very limited on baking dishes, saucepans, glasses, cooking utensils. As with most VRBO’s, the knives were not sharp.We didn’t realize the VRBO was located by on a very busy street and intersection. A lot of traffic noise...

"Our upper level unit was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including a few, nice extra touches. Beds were comfortable, but bedrooms were very small and hard to maneuver around; beds took up most of floor space. We especially enjoyed watching the fun chicken and bird activity from our lanai each morning and evening. Stairs only; no elevator to upper level units. "I stayed there for two weeks. Nice studio apartment in a duplex. The only downside is it’s next to a busy road and when people are in the other unit above you, you can hear them walking around. Otherwise a great place to stay."

"We’ve stayed at Hulili before but this was our first time in the treehouse. We really enjoyed it! The property is wonderful. The treehouse is definitely a unique layout but it’s very well done. The structure itself is like a tall (vertical/stacked) cabin nestled in the trees. Lots of windows which we left open to let in the breeze; we found the temperature and airflow quite comfortable, especially at night. "Stayed for only one night. 20 minutes from the park. House is spacious, quirky and lovely (it is a geodesic dome). Secluded yard with large covered back deck we enjoyed. Jenny is a gracious host who met us and toured the house with us, explaining everything along the way. House was clean with lots of linens and a fridge full of condiments and such free for us to use. House can easily sleep a large family. "
