"Plus: excellent location. Good value for money. Plenty of hot water. Good size room with nice view. Historical building with high ceilings. Comfortable bed. This place has potential. Minus: staff not very helpful ...a bit of a sicilian version of Fawlty Towers. The shower was full of mould and the toilet seat was broken. Squeaky bed...not great for a romantic weekend."

"A convenient walk from the train station. We found the restaurants just off the Main Street. The bar and cafe behind was noisy til after 2:00AM. It would be a happening location for younger lodgers. "

"This property is essentially a B&B. don’t let the exterior scare you off. Room was very clean and the property had a rooftop terrace. Alessandro is a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. Bear in mind there is no elevator so you need to climb about 5 flight of stairs. Location is in the heart of Palermo within walking distance of everything."

"The hotel is old and funky. Rooms are adequate, but not as advertised. The room was advertised on Hotels.com as with a desk and WiFi in the room. It had neither and the Alessandra manager was very unapologetic nor helpful at all about these misleading claims. The hotel is also on the THIRD floor (not second floor) with NO Elevator. Not bad once you've moved in, but be aware of having to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs to your room. Staff, other than the manager, was friendly...

"Lovely old rooms, bit run down,close to Palermo Centrale station, very friendly staff.Breakfast brought to the room, generous quantities of food including hot toasted cheese sandwiches!"

"Bit of a shock to have to pay for the whole two week stay in cash. Very difficult to find and has only a small label on the door bell to say it’s there! No toilet seat for the first week and breakfast hit and miss at first. Very central for the station and the sights. If you are not into late night revelling then take some ear plugs. Plus point having a lidl just round the corner and efficient air conditioning."
