"I love the traditional tatami rooms here. The ‘Bekkan’ is an annex and based in an older building that is charmingly done. It has its own baths, but you have access to the bigger and outdoor baths at the main building a block away. We hadn’t ticked the dinner box when reserving. "It was really comfortable to stay there, very quiet and calm with a nice view! Also there is a lawson right in front as well as an onset! ( food wise there is an Italian pizza pasta place in the woods they recommend it"s perfect definitely try!"

"Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. This stop is at the VERY beginning of the ENTIRE area of onsens in Kurokawa onsens. The so-called bus stop that’s 2 minutes away from the lodging is...

"Access to 3 baths. The toilets in this very old building are very old with covers that don't stay put. The staff is very nice and helpful in général. "

"一人の利用でも夕食をお部屋でとらせていただけたのがとてもありがたかったです。 とにかくすべてがおいしいです。名物料理が全て食べられて、りゅうきゅうの味もだんご汁の麺？のもちもち感も本当に良かったんですが、特にブリのお刺身が最高すぎてひっくり返りました。 ただやはり量がものすごいので、風習とはいえ旅館さんもそろそろフードロス問題に取り組んでほしいなとも思いました。 お風呂は別々の場所に三つあるところを予約をしたり誰か使っていないか確認しながら服を着直して移動しないといけないので少し面倒でした。42℃のお湯に入れない人間ですがお湯は混ぜてもかなり熱いかったです。大きい方を先に予約できたのが正解で、小さい方は足しか無理でした。好きな時間に予約したい方は早めに伺った方がいいです。露天には洗い場がないので、先に洗い場があるお風呂の予約がとれないと露天にいけません。 大寒波がきてたのもあり、お部屋もエアコンの温度をかなり上げてもぬくぬくとはいきませんでした。廊下もかなり冷えるので、冬に行かれる方はしっかり防寒着あった方が良いかと思います。鉄輪の冬は東京よりもかなり寒かったです。"
