"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. "It is not a place i would recommend to lone females. Its not a hotel so unsure why its on hotels.com. The ffont curtilage is unkempt with weeds growing through blockpave, the rear garden is like a jungle. Not even facilities for a welcome or early morning brew unless you bring your own. Tge walls are paper thin so you gear everything. I was in room 4 which was basic, clean bedding but curtains that allow light tgrough. The overgrown shrubs in the rear garden are at window height for first floor...
